Thumb issues

FYI I’m still here. I’ve been having thumb issues so I’ve been limiting my poke-on-a-screen time to updating my weekly Substack newsletter which contains my sketchbook pages from the week. Here’s the link for that if you want to catch up. https://sueclancy.substack.com/

It goes almost without the need to say so that I’m still doing my regular in-real-life painting and drawing. It’s just got more breaks to rest built in now.

If you know me at all you’ll know that I do real-life art stuff first and I’ll talk about the results later. I’m still doing my art gallery exhibits, still making greeting cards and coffee cups, I’ve even begun a new “Edgy Art” project for a local stationery shop Eryngium Paperterie  https://www.eryngiumpapeterie.com/

Here’s a video look at one of those: https://youtube.com/shorts/fRD07Wn7MhM?si=OTBQ8Yh9FF-olz_s

Clancy’s “Edgy Art”

It’s the talking online about the stuff I’ve done that’s been getting left off my to-do list. I only have so much “thumb/hand juice” left after drawing and painting in real life.

That bothered me at first. But now… it’s just what is true for me.

So if you want links to the “Sue Clancy stuff” that’s ongoing here’s a link tree https://linktr.ee/artistclancy

Primarily I’m sharing my Substack newsletter full of sketchbook pages each Friday https://sueclancy.substack.com/  – It mentions some of my other activities sometimes but mostly it’s just “cheer you up, make you laugh” drawings like this:

A froggy morning by Clancy

I hope you’re doing as well as possible, I miss you and I’ll “see you” here when I’m able.

  1. Oh no, Sue! After all of your ankle troubles, I can’t believe you are now dealing with thumb issues. I am glad you are still able to do the things you enjoy, albeit slightly curtailed, and I hope your thumb is on the mend ASAP.

  2. Please take good care of your thumb–and yourself right along with it!
