My fine art exhibit continues at Burnt Bridge Cellars via the Caplan Art Designs Gallery. I am continuing to create more fine art for later this year when my current exhibit moves to the Caplan Gallery to be exhibited there along with my new artworks. These new artworks will primarily be 3d sculptures.
Here’s a look at what’s on my work table right now: half of a dozen 2 inch sized wooden eggs that I’m painting in an exploration of the word “Egghead“

The word egghead is often used disparagingly about intellectually capable people who study something diligently. Personally, I don’t understand disliking learning and education. Whenever you need medical attention, for example, don’t you want a doctor who studied hard, did their homework and continues to learning about their specialties? I certainly do!
Anyway, I suspect the anti-intellectualism that Hofstadter wrote about and published in 1963 has something to do with the ongoing disparagement of education.

As I work on my art project I’m thinking of how using ones intelligence and continuing ones education is as essential for living well as a dozen eggs is essential for a working kitchen.

More to do on my eggheads project…
My own personal self-education continues and is a fun, relaxing part of my daily life. As part of my self-education program I’ve begun a new commonplace book.

I scanned one of my entries so you can read it easily.

I hope you’ll have books and be able to successfully ward off evil and use your own strong magic this week.

The egghead project looks intriguing. I’ve never understood anti-intellectualism, particularly when it comes from higher education.

Thank you! And I’m glad that I’m not the only one who doesn’t understand anti-intellectualism.

In a time of banning books, your project and view point are very refreshing.

A commonplace book is such a perfect endeavor for you as someone who collects the wisdom of others and also offers sage advice and words of encouragement to others.
The egghead project looks like an absolute hoot!

Thank you so much for your kind comment!! And I’m having such fun doing the Eggheads – it’s a challenge to paint on a round surface.
