Recently I took a writing class with Lorna Lee. Dam* good class and I was sorry for it to end. So I decided to shamelessly promote Lorna’s books and interview her in a selfish attempt to continue gleaning pearls of wisdom about writing and living a creative life. Or if not pearls of wisdom at least more marshmallows of gooey good fun. Plus it will provide me with more stuff to illustrate. So this post is a ticklish teaser of the good things to come when you least expect it. Tee hee!
Here’s a photo of Lorna’s book “How was I supposed to know?” alongside my coffee cup.
You can get your own copy of Lorna Lee’s book on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Lorna-Lee/e/B00B0XIP1M/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0
I’ve no idea where you can find a coffee cup like mine. Good luck with that.

And, as hinted above, yes the fabulous future interviews with Lorna will have more drawings (like the one at the top of this post) related to the author and writing and art and animals and….

I smile every time I see your superb drawing. Do I resemble Princess Diana? I think I do! Yes, I surely do. Both Scrappy and I should be wearing tiaras so our hair doesn’t get all mussed up as we “get the lead out” and tootle around in our pencilmobile. Ta ta for now!
I’ll be starting tiara research now that I know I’ll need to draw some for you to wear in your future drawings! Lol! And thank you!!
Can’t wait! 🙂

Whoa! Don’t get too excited. I’m not back in any meaningful way yet. I just want to share with you this fabulicious little post from an equally delightinated artist, writer, blogger, and friend. I met her while teaching a 5-week writing class I’m offering as fundraiser for my local library. You’ll be meeting her in a little while when I interview her good and proper.
Lorna does look like Princess Di. But please, Lorna; wear your seat belt!
But wouldn’t the process of putting a seat belt on possibly knock of the tiara?
Perhaps … !
Great cartoon, Sue. I think you’re so lucky to have been able to meet and learn from such a talented writer as Lorna. 🙂 I really enjoy her books.
Thank you for your kind words about my cartoon! And yes, I agree, I’m lucky to have met Lorna! And I enjoy her books too. 🙂
Love the drawing. And love Lorna (but she knows that already).
Glad you like the drawing! Glad too that Lorna knows already… 😉
I love the drawing, I loved the book 🙂
You are sooooo lucky to have spent 5 weeks in a writing course with the Lovely, Lively, Lorna. Colour me jealous!!
Thank you for your kind words regarding my drawing! And yes, I was very lucky! I have it from Lorna herself that she’ll be teaching more writing courses in 2016! If you’re in the Pacific Northwest (or can visit) I’ll bet you can arrange to have a little writing-course-with-Lorna luck yourself! And watch this blog-space for an upcoming juicy interview with Lorna! With more drawings of course. 😉
